USED GUITAR BLUE BOOK
Im playing my guitar, but i dont sound anything like the blues???

are these ‘basic’ scales or what??
To play blues, you need to learn “blues” scales. You probably learned major and minor scales out of that book.
In any key, the blues scale is derived off of the major scale like this:
1, b3, 4, b5, 5,b7, 1.
So in the key of E (a typical blues key), this would be: E, G, A Bb, B, D.
On guitar, you could bend the b3 note (G) to G#. Bend from the b5 to 5, (Bb to B), and sometimes it works to bend the b7 note (D) up to the D#.
