guitar soloing like a PRO?
how often would i have to practise each day to learn how to play accurate solos like no more tears, free bird. etc? and what are the best ways to get there without forming bad habits? so far ive learned some easy guitar parts from black sabath, metallica,guns and roses, rage against the machine, and acdc. but whenever i get to the solo parts its too fast for me to listen and try and play the tab of the internet. is there a better way
i dont know if i can add more to your question couse i’ve read some answers and they are all helpfull. But i can tell you something about speed.
- in order to achieve speed, you must let go all the extra things you do with your hands, arms, head, legs, etc (just like runners of bikers, they use the least clothe and less weight to go faster)
- you do the same with your fingers, do scale excerrcises but thats not all, you must try not to move your hand more than it really takes you to do the scale.
- start slowly and check that your fingers get attached to the notes one by one ( you start with finger one and you dont move your finger one until you’ve pasted your other 3 fingers in the fret teh same way, without removing them ater playing the note)
- use a metronome, and try to accent ( hit harder) the first note out of the amount of notes you play on each string. That will give you groove and not just fast fingers.
- practice every time you can
