Acoustic guitar advice………..?
OK so i dont live anywhere near any music/guitar stores so I cant really test out different guitars for myself. I’d have to order online.
I currently have a Takamine Dragon series guitar that was about $300 Australian dollars. I’m looking at getting my second guitar and looking to spend around $1000-$1500 Australian dollars.
I’ve read reviews that the Taylor 114 is a good guitar that would be roughly in this price range. Wondering what would be equivilent guitars to this i.e different brands that are similar and of similar price range, and which one people would recommend. I’m still thinking the Taylor 114 but open to other suggestions and opinions.
Don’t know too much about Taylor, but I have a Takamine, which is a really nice guitar. If you want my advice: Gibson. Everybody talks about their electric guitars (Angus Young’s SG and Jimmy Page’s Les Paul), but I have a Gibson B-25 Acoustic. My Dad bought it in 1977, gave it to me when I was twelve. I’ve been playing the living heck out of it for nine years, and it still sounds amazing (better, in fact, than my Les Paul). So as long as Gibson is still making reliable acoustics in your price range, I’d go for that.
