Changing pickups in the Gibson SG?
I have a Gibson SG ghost serious.. I don’t think they make them anymore. My most recent guitar is the SRV signature Stratocaster which i have fallen in love with. I really like my Gibson too, but it doesn’t give me the bluesy sound that i’m going for.. It sounds great plugged into my marshall amp (which is not my main amp that i use) and it gets a really full rock n roll sound.. I was wondering what humbucker or pickup i could replace the neck pick up with to achieve the more bluesy sound i’m going for
A Bill Lawrence L-500 series pickup will give you the kind of sound you’re looking for. I had a Les Paul Jr. with an L-500 in the rhythm slot and it sounded great.
