BASS GUITAR VOLUME KNOBS
Heavy-metal guitar amp settings?
What are the ideal settings for my guitar and amp to play heavy metal/nu-metal?
I want to play something like Gojira, Disturbed or slipknot.
I have a fender strat guitar with a volume knob, two tone knobs and a pickup selector switch.
I have a DeanDgx15 amp with Gain, Volume, Bass, Middle and Treble knobs.
i just bought all of this recently, i am learning to how play.
Guitar settings:
+Volume: max
+Pickup selector: bridge pickup (direction opposite to guitar neck)
+Tone knobs: 8 (out of 10)

Amp settings:
+Gain: max
+Volume: not less than 7 (this REALLY makes a difference in the overall tone, it doesnt affect only the volume, trust me 
)
+Bass: 7
+Middle: 5
+Treble: 8

NOTE: you CANT get a sound similar to disturbed, slipknot, gojira, or any band using a small practice amp, you need AT LEAST an extra distortion pedal… however, that’s the best Metal tone you could get out of your current gear.
