My amp squeals BADLY?
Hi, my amp squeals horribly. I’ve checked everything. I returned and got a new amp. Same problem. I tried multiple cables. Same problem. Does it even when a guitar is not plugged in, so it’s not the guitar. It hums and if u even touch anything metal on it or the tip of the cord, it squeals madly. I think it is my outlet, because at the store it works fine. I’ve tried every outlet in my house. Does it have to do with polarity in my outlets? It is a 3 pronged amp cable and is a Spider III 15. . I’ve tried multiple locations and Tried MY guitar on others. It=fine. It is not a tube amp either. The guy at the guitar shop is stumped too:P
Oh, and it does it at any volume other than 0… I’ve tried moving knobs, including reverb and echo.

Well I’m the drummer in a band, and my guitar player has this prob sometimes.
First things first (everybody know this one) Check your volume level first, if you don’t experience the noise at a lower volume, you need to plug a bigger cabinet into it.
get away from it, try different positions, I had an amp that would squeal because of the room it was in, we never figured out what was wrong with the room though.
Have you personally tried your GUITAR on the amp at the stores, or did you use a store guitar? Maybe its your guitar, bro.
