GUITAR BASS SCALES
Are Bass Guitar scales the same as guitar scales?
I know, it sounds stupid, but a friend of mine wants a second opinion. Please answer truly and convince him that guitar scales are the same scales all instruments use! Please! He knows how to piss someone off!
Of course they are
As an example, the C major scale consists of the notes; A B C D E F G
This is regardless wether you play it on a guitar, a piano, a tin whistle or whatever you want to play it on.
The only difference between playing the C Major scale on a bass rather than a guitar is that it will be an octave or two lower on the bass.
But the notes are identical
