FREE GUITAR TABS BOOK

Guitar lessons/ learning tabs and music?
I want to learn how to read tabs/music sheets and to play guitar. Does anyone know of some really easy, simpleminded methods that are good but either cheap if not free? References to website or books would be great.

First off, don’t trust internet tab. The best way to learn is to get a great teacher. Nothing beats the student/teacher interaction. A website, a DVD or a book can’t tell you what you’re doing right or wrong. A teacher provides feedback and can judge your improvement. I’ve been playing guitar for over 16 years and I’ve learned from and played with some of the best blues men in the world. There are some great books out there, but without proper instruction, you’ll be lost. Get Hal Lenord’s Guitar Chord Encyclopedia, and find some tab books from your favorite bands, but make sure they have the “Authentic Off the Record Transcription” seal on them. That’s my advise for you.
