FREE GUITAR DIAGRAM CHORDS
15 year old learning guitar?
I jsut began playing like a month ago and I was wondering what exactly is learning? I’ve learned a couple of songs from Bon Jovi, Jet, some Oldies, and a couple more. I think Im doign good cuz I can read tabs and I know some chords that i don’t need to use the chord diagram but is that learning? Im not sure if there is other things I need to learn. Also, I have a crappy guitar that I bought at Target but my uncle was telling me he had a Ibanez RG2570E Prestige Electric Guitar and he was telling me he didn’t need it so I was free to use it whenever. Will that be better for me or it doesn’t matter what guitar I am using.
to learn guitar, you want to learn EVERY CORD. that way, you can play any song. instead of “learning a song” you can read the notes and just play it. then, if you play the song often enough, you’ll end up “learning”it or memorizing it. also, once you can play notes and cords, you’ll want to learn techniques. anything as simple as practicing diffrent strumming (like with a pick, your finger nail, or the tip of your finger) to learning how tap cords, add a special twaing by taping the quitar’s wood, and making that awsome noise from runing your finger down a string instead of across are all tecniques you’ll want to learn and use. you’ll also want to learn when to use these tecniques to ad a twist to an already existing song or to a song you just made up!
as for guitars, type and quality are very importent. the cheeper the guitar is made, the more pathetic the sound. other good guitarists will be able to note when you use a crappy guitar. the sound is soo much more crisp and better when you have a diffrent guitar. even though i’m not great at guitar, i can tell the diffrence. one of my quitars sucks and the other one, wich i bought from my uncle, is a great guitar.
