I am learning Bass Guitar, can someone help me?

I need to find some reference on how to play a Bass Guitar. Are there any good websites with free sheet music/chord charts that are available to download?
I don’t know even which fret and which string go with its respective note. If someone knows of a good place to go or wants to explain the basics, I would really appreciate it!

There are numerous good books on the market, but you will not be able to use them or even choose them effectively until you have had lessons from a competent teacher.

Seek out a player that sounds good to you. Ask him to teach you.

Better still, find a professional teacher. Go to the lessons. Practice what he tells you to. Pay him. Keep going and don’t quit. Do not look for an easy way out. There is no such thing.

Music is easy to learn if you read and practice.
It is impossible to learn if you do not.
