DEAN GUITARS DIMEBAG DARRELL GUITAR

Can anyone help me select a Guitar Pedal?
BTW I have a Baby Lightning Dean Dimebag Darrell
I haven’t really used any guitar pedals. I’m new at guitar. I just started not too long ago. I can play solos on my guitar but the thing is they don’t sound like the song b/c I don’t have any effects. All I have is a cheap First Act Amp with only Bass, Middle, Treble, Frequency, and Volume. I don’t think I can really do anything with that.
Could anyone recommend any good Guitar Pedals. What I’m looking for is something sounding either like Metalcore or Blues. Also if theres any cheap ones that sound good, please tell me.
Honestly, I think the best thing for you is to get a multifx pedal. Yes, they tend to not sound as good as separate pedals, but I know that many of them have at least decent clean effects…. I think the advice about getting a multifx then buying pedals for whatever you want to sound better is very, very sound – its exactly what I’ve ended up doing!
What I’ve done is scour the used sections of Guitar Center, pawn shops, music stores, etc etc to find cheap gear – I hate paying retail! I got a used Boss GT-3 for 100$, which is a great price compared to what it retailed for! Admittedly, many of the used gear will be a little older – but for the money, its generally where you want to be.
In all seriousness and honesty, though, the best way to get a better tone is to upgrade your amp to something better – more/bigger speakers tends to equal better tone, and in general more than 15 watts is ideal for solid-state or digital amps. If you go over 30w and you’re only wanting to play at home… well, if you can’t turn up for whatever reason (neighbors? roommates?) then going above 30w isn’t really a good idea – it gets too loud too fast!
If all you’re looking for is a distorted tone, then I recommend the Boss Metalcore for that type of distortion, and either a Tubescreamer or Zakk Wylde Overdrive for the non-metal/hard rock distortion. A Boss DS-1 is cheap, it has a more “alternative” sound to its distortion. There is a cheaper version of the Big Muff (Nano Muff?) that I”ve heard isn’t too bad – the band that exemplifies that Big Muff sound would have to be Bush, to give you a reference there.
Do your best to play before you buy, though! Bring your own guitar, and try to plug into the closest thing to what you have at home. There’s nothing wrong with plugging into larger/better amps, of course, but if you do it will sound much better there than when you get home – and that pretty much sucks!
Danelectro pedals are some of the least expensive I’ve seen, although I can’t vouch for their tonal quality. I did own the Fab Tone back in the day, though, and its a pretty spiffy little fuzz pedal with a bit of that vintage vibe to it. I was able to EQ it using a Boss GE-7 EQ pedal to get a pretty decent approximation of a Boss Metal Zone, I thought that was kinda cool….
