common tuning for an electric slide guitar?

I just acquired an electric slide guitar and really don’t know that much about it. I play guitar and mostly like to play blues/rock music, but I don’t know what tuning to use to play basic blues and rock songs. I know there are a lot of different tunings out there, but I’m not sure how to apply them with the slide.

As mad_mav7 explained, it is usually the barre G chord that a slide guitar is tuned to. But any barre chord tuning would work.
