BONE GUITAR BRIDGE PINS

Saddle: Bone or FMI for my acoustic guitar?
Hey all, i can’t decide between bone or FMI saddle. I’m looking for a warmth tone and better substain. My guitar is a yamaha LL16 Solid Engelman Spruce and solid rosewood back/sides.
How about the bridge pins and nut? I want to change them. What’s the recommendations?
It really depends on how much you want to spend, and for what value. I think that ivory is probably largely considered the best material for both the saddle and the pins. But I’ve got a Martin HD 28 VR with the original saddle and pins replaced with ivory when I installed a Fishman Gold pickup. I really can’t tell that it made any difference. Almost no one except us hard core acoustic players are even gonna notice, so you’re not gaining anything in status – and if you can’t tell the difference in sound, why spend the money?
