HELP how do you tune a bass guitar?
Ok i think its out of tune so i decided to get my dads electric guitar tuner and i ended up messing with the knobs a bit, but the problem is I dont know shit about tuning a guitar at all im a beginner to this whole thing the only thing i know is that the notes a E,A,D,G from highest to lowest. I really need to practice tonight as i have nothign better to do.
you put the chord from the guitar into the tuner. then you turn the knob to the e. hit the note and adjust the tuning key until it hits 440a, or the middle. do the same with the rest of the strings. to get the most accurate reading, you hit the harmonic on the 12th fret. use your fingers, never a pick.
