Looking for a song from the 60’s, British pop invasion…?
Several minutes long, sort of tongue-in-cheek. Lyrics consist entirely of lines like, “Nigel Suffolk on bass”… “Derek Wittingham on guitar”… and gets progressively sillier, with lines like, “Joan Huffnel on timpani-trumpet”….
I’m making up these lyrics since I can’t quote the original, but this is the idea.
Not Herman’s Hermits, though that was my first instinct. Anyone know, or have a good hunch?
