BASS GUITAR KNOBS
my bass guitar doesn’t have a tone knob?
what can i do or
buy
or adjust
in order to change or have some sort of tone, for when i wanna play songs with tone or play along with friends for fun?
Start with your amp. I usually run all my bass knobs wide open on mine and adjust my sound on my amp. If you are using a little practice amp it may not have a lot to tweak. Try adjusting your EQ on your amp if you have it. You might get a bass EQ stomp box if you don’t have a built in equilizer. I know Boss makes one or you could get a rack unit with EQ if your bass amp doesn’t have one or its limited to just Hi, Lo and med. Also using a chorus or distortion pedal (get ones optimized for bass) can help you get a good sound if you aren’t happy with your bass’s sound as is. Stomp boxes are fairly cheap on Ebay or a local pawn shop. That’s yoru best bet.
