BASS GUITAR EFFECTS BOSS
Can I use a Casio AC Adapter for a Boss Bass Guitar effects pedal?

Can I just check the voltage on the backs of the pedals and see if they’re compatible? What are the risks involved?

A typical effects pedal will use a 9 volt battery which could range from almost 10 volts (fresh) to less than 7 volts (practically dead).

Some 9 volt adapters made for other purposes could actually be putting out close to 20 under certain circumstances.

Measure the adapter that you are considering first. and make sure that the output is DC and not more than 11 or12 volts maximum. Getting the polarity right is important. Get it wrong and you can destroy you pedal instantly.
